FabuLAB - Academic Language Solutions

FabuLAB Education and Information Technologies Inc. is an R&D company, founded by METU faculty members, operating from METU Technopolis.

Our aim is to conduct research on language acquisition/learning processes of children, youth, adults, and elderly individuals, and to offer technology-enhanced products and services that support the development of linguistic and cognitive skills. In addition, we offer training, research, and consultancy services to institutions/businesses.

Prof. Dr. Bilal Kırkıcı

Research Strategy & Innovation

Prof. Dr. Bilal Kırkıcı is a psycholinguist specializing in bilingualism and language processing, combining academic expertise with educational leadership.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Betil Eröz

Educational Research & Training

Dr. Eröz specializes in English language education, teacher training, sociolinguistics, and qualitative research, with a focus on connecting language, culture, and classroom interaction.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hale Işık Güler

Research Design & Project Development

Dr. Hale Işık-Güler specializes in discourse analysis, pragmatics, corpus linguistics, and English Medium Instruction (EMI) research; she integrates her interdisciplinary work on spoken and written corpora and classroom interaction, and expertise in a diverse range of institutional, social and online contexts to FabuLAB services and research. More specifically she oversees FabuLAB's new research project designs and institutional strategy development and internationalization.

Dr. Okay specializes in program development and evaluation, materials development, pragmatics, language teaching, with research focusing on language and intercultural communication.

We operate from ODTÜ Teknokent (Ankara) and provide our services online, making our programs accessible from anywhere.

Both. Learners can choose between individual lessons tailored to their specific needs or small group classes for a collaborative experience.

We use a needs analysis and placement process (language level + goals + cognitive profile, if relevant) to ensure each learner joins the program most suited to them.

Yes. Participants receive a FabuLAB Certificate of Completion, documenting the program they attended, which can be shared with employers or institutions.
